David was absolutely instrumental in helping me find a college that truly fit me. From the very beginning, he took the time to get to know me on a deeper level, not just as another student, but as a person. He wasn’t just an advisor or counselor; he became a mentor who challenged me to look beyond academics and athletics and focus on the environment where I’d thrive.

What sets David apart is how well he understands both his students and the college landscape. He puts in an incredible amount of time and energy, not only getting to know each student individually, but also building strong relationships with staff and admissions offices at schools across the country and around the world. It’s no surprise he’s helped so many students get into top colleges and universities. It’s truly a team effort with him.

Throughout the process, he guided me through countless moments of reflection and decision-making, constantly encouraging me to aim higher, even when I wasn’t sure I could. One piece of advice that stuck with me came from both him and my coach early on: “Figure out where you’ll be happy, and figure out the hockey piece second.” That mindset changed everything for me.

Now, as a college student, I can confidently say I ended up in the right place in every way academically, athletically, socially, and personally, thanks to his guidance. There were times I wasn’t sure I believed everything he said about this school, not because I doubted him or the school, but because of how strongly he believed it was the perfect fit for me. He was right.
